3. Reflection and Action

Reflection on practice and effective planning for growth and development is a critical part of leadership, yet many boards and heads of school play lip service to this. Identifying ways to work more effectively, with greater purpose and joy is possible with an understanding culture and a professional approach to the assessment of performance. Significant rewards can be seen and felt not only at the top but throughout the school. 

301: How are we doing? Assessing the work of the board and HoS.  

We explore the foundations used to determine what success looks like and aim to develop a tool to measure success of the board and of the HoS. We begin with an audit of roles and responsibilities, current practice, guiding statements, strategic planning, other desired goals and future thinking in order to move towards a new model.
